My Story
Every year, the girl in the apartment next door to mine throws a Christmas party. My girlfriend and I met at one of those parties two years ago, and I ended up getting her gift from Secret Santa.
It was a bespoke post box with breakfast cooking supplies. We talked at the party, and I ended up inviting her over for breakfast the following Saturday. Well, one thing led to another, and we ended up eating breakfast together on Sunday, too.
We got busy and didn’t see each other for a few weeks, but I got another package in the mail at the end of the month. I sent her a text message, and we hooked up for another weekend of breakfast. That became our thing for a few months. We were so used to being busy, we never really had time to slow down. Of course, we texted all the time, but we only saw each other every month for our weekend of breakfast.
That lasted a while until COVID hit, and we got stuck at home. With all of the extra time to explore, we started finding new hobbies. She got into knitting, and I started baking more. When things looked like they were easing up in the Summer of 2000, I sent her a new bag and asked if she’d like to go away with me to the mountains.
It was a big step for us, but the weekend turned magical. Now, a year and a half later, we’ve talked about getting married, but it’s time to do something unique and pop the question. I wonder if there’s a Bespoke Box for that too?
