Sorba Thomas, a Hull City winger, has miraculously not been injured after his luxury Land Rover Defender capsized in a dramatic car crash near the club’s Cottingham training ground on Friday morning.

The incident happened at approximately 9:00 AM on a residential street in a close proximity to the training area. The pictures on social media revealed the Welsh international’s car was upside down on the road, with signs of damage. Police officers and emergency fire crews quickly arrived at the scene.

Hull City boss Sergej Jakirovic was also seen at the crash scene to see if he could check on the safety of the 25-year-old.

Hull City Issue Official Statement

Following the crash, Hull City released an official statement to reassure supporters and confirm that Thomas walked away from the wreckage without any injuries.

“Hull City are happy to report that Sorba Thomas avoided injury after a road traffic incident near to the club’s Cottingham training ground.”

The club knows that images of Sorba’s car have been posted on social media, and can assure fans he is unhurt and walked out of his car in one piece.

The club also announced the winger was on the list and will be joining everyone else on Saturday to face Chelsea at home.

Summer Signing Ready for Matchday

Thomas signed for Hull City after a stint at Stoke City, on transfer deadline day. The Wales winger made his debut for the Tigers in their recent draw against Aston Villa and was lambasted by manager Sergej Jakirovic for his pace, set piece delivery and defensive work rate.

The staggering event at the crack of dawn won’t prove to be a nightmare for Hull City, though, as Thomas was pronounced fit to play, the Clues are set to go into Sunday’s match with Birmingham City without a blemish.
